A week ago we changed the Twitter profile for Not So Stuffy a bit. New part of our profile is the picture above and we just had to share it with you. It was taken in Le Marche, Italy. Hopefully someday we’ll have the chance to go back… So, back to business: in between all the work for the international bloggers meetup we managed to put together a Breakdeweek again too. Little secret: we are a bit nervous (in a good way though, it’s so exciting too!) about the meetup: we hope all the work pays off and everybody has a great time.
Boy, was I a happy girl the past few weeks. Sometimes I ask myself if it’s really necessary to mealprep so much. But it especially pays off during busy times. Early in the morning I left my home to go to work (my paid job) with this pink kickstart from Rens Kroes (cookbook On the go). It’s such a satisfying and creamy breakfast, yummy! And it’s easy to prepare too. Couldn’t find the recipe online. So in short: soak 75 g of cashews for about 20 minutes in hot water. Add 25 g oats (or spelt), 1/2 tsp vanilla powder (unsweetened), 1/4 tsp cardamom, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 125 coconut milk, 100 g frozen cherries or raspberries in a food processor. Blend until you have a creamy mixture. Divide over 2 jars, put one in the fridge and take the other jar to work. Not sweet enough? Just add 1 tbsp maple syrup or 1 or 2 dates.
The 18th of November 2016 is the start of the World Press Photo in Groningen. Change of scenery this time, because the exhibition is not in the Der Aa-church but in the synagogue in the Folkingestraat this year. This exposition offers a you a glimpse of family lives in different countries and cultures.
Did you already hear or read about the documentary Before the Flood? You probably did and maybe you’ve even seen it already. It was supposed to be online until the 6th of November. But due to the election in the USA and the many views this period is extended. So, don’t hesitate and go watch Before the Flood, it’s impressive and interesting and a bit sad as well…
People don’t like to be critisized. We already knew that, didn’t we? But this study confirmed it. It was taken at the workplace and the outcome was a bit shocking to us: if somebody is more critical about us than we are ourselves, we have the tendancy (44% chance) to disassociate and find a nicer group of people to hang out with. Just to make sure we are not being critisized too much. That’s actually kind of sad, don’t you think?
